So, I suggested my ortho that I´d like to use AcceleDent. He agreed and kindly brought me a machine from US. I bought it from him and because of the shortened total treatment time, got a little discount of the total prize of my treatment - all in all 680 euroes extra cost for me.
AcceleDent is a vibrating machine that helps teeth move faster with invisalign or with braces. With invisalign, you can usually change trays every week instead of every two weeks.
I have used my machine a bit over two weeks now. It´s easy to use, pain-free and small. It shuts itself off after 20 mins, so you can´t overuse it. It also counts the times you use it. Downside of that is that it will stop working after 1,5 years of use - this is to prevent selling it on ebay for further users. (Bummer, I would have sold my machine, but most likely I will use most of my uses, so there´s not so much left to sell.)
Does it work then? Can´t say yet. So far I have only changed one tray with one week interval (number 4 to 5), and that has been the toughest tray change yet. Snapping the top tray on was really quite hard and a bit painful and this was the first tray with which there has been some discomfort also on the bottom teeth. However, after two days of use (and loooots of chewing), the tray 5 fits just as well as the previous ones and don´t seem any tighter than the ones before. Will see how the next one goes. I´ll write a second review after I gain more experiences.
