My first day with invisalign

30.4. after the first 36 hours of wearing invisalign plus about a zillion attachments.

Does it show? Yes. I look freekish, when I focus my eyes on to my teeth. The attachments show when I smile, the two (!) pieces in my left front tooth show even when I speak. But others don´t seem to notice them, perhaps to them I just look a bit weird. My teeth in general kind of look whiter and glossier with the trays. From a distance my smile might look even prettier (wider and brighter) than normally, or then it can just be weird and glossy when the sun is reflecting on the plastic...

Does it hurt? Not really. Putting on the attachments (skilled dental assistant) was really quite ok. The thing that keeps your mouth wide open while they operate on your mouth hurt my upper lip a bit, that´s all. Removing the aligners was and is pretty difficult and slightly painful due to the attachments, but not too bad. I´ve got a few abrasions in my mouth, but so far got no need for pain killers, so I guess I´m doing fine.

Do I regret doing this? Hell yes. But the first week is supposed to be horrible.
